Rococoa Wind Quintet is in its 2nd season and enjoying the pleasure of the full variety of wind quintet literature – and always followed by our famous chocolate-themed receptions!  We are in the thick of our Spring 2014 concert tour – on February 25 we performed for an appreciative collection of students and faculty at Mount Vernon Nazarene College and will be soon featured at Denison University on Saturday, April 12th and Ohio Wesleyan University on Tuesday, April 22nd.  Leslie Maaser (flute), Steve Rosenberg (oboe), Heidi Wick (horn), Emily Patronik (bassoon), with me on clarinet are joined by our good buddy, pianist Nelson Harper in a very cool program – Nelhybel Quintet No. 2, with Nelson and the 5-tet on the Blumer and Poulenc Sextets.  Here’s a link to more information on these recitals:

Tour D’Anches is the Ohio Wesleyan University Music Woodwind Faculty Trio – Karen Pfeifer on oboe; Emily Patronik on bassoon with yours truly covering the flute and clarinet (we translate ‘anches’, reeds, with a liberal interpretation – think air reed when it comes to flute)  – in any case, all great musicians who love to play for our university community and area K-12 music programs.  This year we are in the planning stages for our May school concerts for our alumni music teachers’ programs throughout Ohio – get your requests in soon!  Here’s a link to one of our recitals (scroll down to the faculty recital from October 2012).

Happy Spring to you all and hope to see you at a chocolate reception in the near future!
