I will have an article published in the December 2011 issue of the Music Educators Journal. The article, “An Aural Learning Project: Assimilating Jazz Education Methods for Traditional Applied Pedagogy,” summarizes the aural learning techniques, such as transcribing music, recording analysis, self-recording analysis, and memorization, which I use with my flute, clarinet and saxophone students at Ohio Wesleyan.
